FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions About Your Car Cleaning

A. Absolutely. Customers of Jerry’s Express Car Wash may use the vacuums at any time. We provide industrial-strength vacuums so you can clean your car to your satisfaction.

A. We use the latest in water conservation technology and reuse a lot of the water most other car washes throw away. That way, we use a minimum amount of new water per wash. Washing a car at home uses much more water than we do! Before our wastewater is discharged to the sanitary sewer system, we remove oil and dirt. And unlike washing a car in the driveway, we never release wastewater to storm drains, surface waters, or to the ground. This is our community too, and we want to keep it clean! We share with our customers the desire to conserve water and protect the environment.

A. Cars that are washed in the street can pollute our rivers, streams, and oceans. The soapy water that runs off the car into the gutters goes into the stormwater system. Stormwater, unlike the water which enters the sewers, does not undergo treatment before it is discharged into our waterways. Any pollutants washed off the car, and the detergents go down into the ground and into our stormwater and end up in our drinking water as well as lakes, rivers, harbors, and oceans.

A. When you wash off bugs, tree sap, bird droppings, etc., plus anything sticky as soon as possible, the acid if left too long or left baking while sitting in the hot sun, will and can mark a car or truck forever. The new finish you had can still be there with some basic care.

We offer the best “Bug Station” for this purpose. If you need assistance, don’t hesitate to get a manager to explain further and or get someone to help you if you are in need!
